I started this painting in 2023 and I’ve been so busy so so so busy and I decided to record myself painting to keep myself accountable

good news is the painting is finished and it’s where it should be

bad news is idk I had so much fun making this video I must’ve tripped and now there are multiple studio vlogs ready to be uploaded onto the YouTube…. if you want a peek into my beautiful Indigenous homosexual disabled hermit artist lifestyle you know where to look

I feel like making these little videos and spending time with myself in a really earnest and “unprofessional” way has reinvigorated my passion as a filmmaker because I have been burnt out dude!!! Resting in this way means I’ve been better equipped to return to/continue my role as a cultural archivist in my family and community so that’s awesome

2024 was super f*ckin stressful and overwhelming and filled with grief and rage and AND AND ALSO

and the also is crucial here

it was for me an incredible year filled with love and hope and creation and home

I am incredibly impossibly grateful I am so privileged I am so so lucky to live in the world and to love it and to be loved in it

they can let you post 20 things at once now but that’s still somehow not enough

sorry I’m late lmao may 2025 be kind to us all

Still’s and some BTS from recent work on an @48hfptoronto film called “Belfast’s Treasure” with an incredible team and produced by @notswimmingprod with the genre ‘Sport/Game Film’. It was a super fun and hectic shoot but somehow we managed to pull off such a great film!
I got the pleasure of being the HMUA for the shoot and got to meet some wonderful people 🫶🏻

I would gladly put in another 14 hour shoot day with this wonderful group of people (and be directed by the amazing @kearavoo again) anytime! Pure joy creating art with such talented performers and technical craftspeople. And three cheers for Scruffy! ;)
