This is Rio doing what Rio does at the end of the day: swimmers drifting in the shallows, a ball in the air, silhouettes against a sky that won’t hold still for long. @pedrontheworld didn’t stage a single part of it. He just knew exactly when to be standing there.

@pedrontheworld doesn’t set up shots. He finds them. And what he found here, the quiet tension, the light cracking through the clouds, two people sharing space but lost in separate worlds, is the kind of image that only exists for a second. He caught it. That’s the gift. Not the camera, not the settings, not the location. The instinct to know that something true is happening, and to be ready when it does.
