Capybaras are my favorite animals because they’re gentle, peaceful, and completely unbothered by the world around them. I had loved them for years but had never met one—until Okinawa. My face says everything. 🥹 This joyful little encounter appears in my new Okinawa-to-Busan travel diary, now on YouTube. Link in bio. 🎥 #Capybara #CapybaraLove #Okinawa #JapanTravel #NoeRoseTravels

This is not my usual travel film. I went to Okinawa to reunite with PK, a friend I hadn’t seen in ten years—and we had only four days to fit those ten years into. We drank. We reminisced. We argued. We laughed, all those things that sisterhood does. And somewhere between it all, I occasionally remembered to take out my camera. What remains are imperfect fragments: meeting my favorite animal for the first time, possibly the best croissant of my life, one restorative night at a wellness resort, Okinawa’s living pottery tradition, and the windswept cliffs of Cape Zanpa. Then the journey carries me back to Busan—for rooftop views, sunset at Morundae, quiet tea houses, a return to Seokbulsa Temple, and the beginning of my journey toward Mokpo. It’s vertical. It’s raw. It’s a little less polished than usual. But perhaps that is what makes it feel so true. Come experience the journey I was too busy living to film perfectly. The new vlog is now on YouTube. 🎥 #Okinawa #Busan #JapanTravel #KoreaTravel #NoeRoseTravels

🌿✨ Step into a tropical dream at the Southeast Botanical Gardens — Okinawa’s lush oasis since 1968, where over 2,000 species of flora bloom under the island sun. 🌸🌴 From royal palms and lotus ponds to the most adorable capybaras you’ll ever meet 🐹💕 — every corner feels like a page from a storybook. PK and I had the most wondrous time here — feeding, brushing, and simply being present with the capybaras. They’re incredibly gentle souls, so remember: move slowly, speak softly, and never chase or lift them. 💞 Many of the animals here — from squirrel monkeys to ponies — were introduced through ethical breeding and rescue programs, creating a space where people can learn to connect with nature mindfully. 🌺 Stay for sunset if you can… because when night falls, the gardens light up with one of Okinawa’s most magical illumination shows. ✨ 📍 Okinawa City 🕰️ Open year-round 🌿 Tip: Come early for capybara cuddles, stay late for the glow. #SoutheastBotanicalGardens #OkinawaJapan #CapybaraLove #TropicalEscape #EthicalTravel #NoeRoseTravel #OkinawaAdventures #HiddenGemsJapan #TheSoloWays #TravelWithNoe #lostinjapan #japanwithlove #okinawa
