Today’s @lapride parade march wasn’t just a celebration it was an affirmation. It was about reminding the world that we have the right to exist and that we have the right to belong.

The LA Leather/Kink Community recognizes the importance of diversity and the need for ALL voices to be heard. Our community represents the need for freedom, to ability to express yourself and the right to be who you are.

In a time when our country is trying to silence and erase the existence of People Of Color, LGBTQ+, especially our trans siblings and immigrants, our presence is a reminder to this country that we are embedded in the fabric of this nation. Our presence is also a statement that those who came before us, who fought for us and who contributed to us having human rights today, have made this country better and their legacy will never be forgotten or denied!

To stand up and proudly say “this who I am!” is an act of courage. While it is not easy, letting the world know you exist is an act of resistance!

Thank you for everyone who was able to march with us today and giving people the strength and empowerment to be brave in the face of fear and adversity.

PS thank you @kimchi_chic and @naomismalls for coming over to our contingent and showing us some love!
