@peterphuongansu and i headed to @peel.space for our first time, and it was so delicious!!! We loooveee and appreciate good tea with a great atmosphere and @peel.space was all of that!!

We both got a type of green tea, the iced was a sichuan green tea, and the hot was another green tea with jasmine and milky notes.

We really enjoyed our time there and can’t wait to go back!☺️🤗🩷

Phoenix oolong (fenghuang dancong)
An oolong tea, highly prized, from the Phoenix mountains in Guangdong. Dancong means “single bush”, which means that this tea is made from the leaves of a single tree or bush. Highly aromatic, I wish I could make it a candle! Notes of honey and stone fruit with a long luxurious aftertaste. From @peel.space

This month’s Repro Happy Hour is at @peel.space on Thursday, July 16th 6pm-8pm!! Our monthly happy hours are social events where community members who are interested in abortion access, pregnancy justice, harm reduction, and mutual aid can connect with organizers in Pittsburgh doing this work!

These happy hours are a great way to connect with program leads and figure out what volunteering with the Auto Body Shop is all about.

!EXCITING NEWS! @cerulean__blue__hue @orchi.dhead @soodles_tattoo and @zoyakeko will be tattooing at @peel.space on Saturday, July 18th for a one-time flash pop up 🫖 the event starts at 12pm and goes till 8pm. DM an artist to pre-book from 12pm - 2pm, the rest of the time will be reserved for walk-ins (first come first served). All designs are repeatable; price, size, and alterations will be up to the individual artist. Come hang out, drink some tea, and get tatted!!! Thanks so much to @peel.space for having us!!! Can’t wait :)

Earlier this month, CUE and @peel.space co-hosted d̶i̶r̶t̶ 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩, a new dinner work by @tsohilbhatia in Pittsburgh. Presenting an iteration of the artist’s series “Fruits of passing (remains from home)” and a menu of 10 courses that drew from histories of accident, spoilage, and contamination, the work acted as an ephemeral set of relations to land across geographies and over time.

Each course incorporated ingredients that we have learned to distrust, with the menu becoming a site for speculation on the practices that have shaped what we consider to be either palatable or objectionable. Through vocabularies of refusal and relation, the work reconsidered our prevailing conceptions of value and sustenance.
