POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A little over a month ago, thanks to @evangelos_kosm , who invited me to become part of a wonderful team at an international festival @aarhusfestuge , I had one of the most beautiful times of my life. And all thanks to him, I experienced so much inspiration, relaxation, new friendships, and such a wonderful feeling of lightness.
And of course, @peftibaynatali , this post is first and foremost about you! Because your energy, your joy for life, your carefree spirit, your openness and sincerity and more more more
I’ll never forget our bike rides at night, swimming in the cold sea, our conversations, our walks, the music, the museums, the food…
All of this has left such a deep impression on my heart that I just want to say thank you!
And I’m sure we’ll do it all again very soon. Maybe it’ll be in another country, but for now, I’ll just say see you soon!
And see you soon, @arosartmuseum !
And see you soon, @dana_vorona , wonderful Dana, who once invited me to Aarhus. And thanks to her, I fell in love with this city, with her team, and with her theatre.
And thank you for letting us be part of your birthday celebrations too!🎊🎊
It was truly such a beautiful time!

“ALASKA” by @evangelos_kosm in Pécs 🇭🇺🇺🇦
— the next step of the journey and a time of new discoveries @pte1367 @performeurope

In the city of Pécs, Hungary, we presented “ALASKA” — a story of young people searching for themselves amidst anxiety, war, and dreams.

Each performance is not only a play, but also a process of co-creation with the city. In Pécs, we felt the warmth of the stage and the sincerity of dialogue with the audience. Our rehearsals turned into a space of exploration: how to speak about pain in a way that still leaves hope. We found a common language with local actors and created a true circle of friends, which through professionalism grew into something more than just collaboration.

We thank the theatre and the local team @pte1367 for their hospitality and the courage to share this experience with us.

The Mariupol Puppet Theatre in Sarajevo.
On June 28–29, the theatre team premiered ALASKA on the stage of Sarajevski Ratni Teatar SARTR.
This project was initiated by the Mariupol Puppet Theatre, which continues to create despite war, forced displacement, and the loss of their home stage. Its actors form the core of this production. They were joined by young performers from Poland and Bosnia - and together, they brought to life a story that resonates with each of them.
The director, playwright, and artistic leader is Evangelos Kosmidis, a Greek theatre-maker who has been working closely with the Mariupol team for several years.
ALASKA is a play about teenagers growing up in a broken world. About fear and love, loneliness and identity. About a reality that wounds and shapes.
This story carried particular weight in Sarajevo - a city that knows the sound of explosions and the feeling of siege. Here, the Ukrainian actors didn’t just perform a script - they shared living memory.
I had the honor of documenting this project throughout its week in Sarajevo - from the first rehearsal to the performances before the public.
