Last Wednesday at Reps Raceway 🏎️, PEK went above and beyond to crush their goal of $500 and raised an incredible $998! 🎉 They ranked as the third-highest fundraising RSO of the day, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication. Huge shoutout to @rachelgoldberg04, PEK’s amazing rep, for leading the charge and making the day a success FTK! 🎗️

‼️DISABILITY ALLY FAIR will be postponed to March 18th 1:30-5:30‼️This is as a result of weather conditions for the day of the event. We are still very excited and looking forward to this big day!

Bright Minds Forward and Special Olympics UD is working with Best Buddies Delaware and Special Olympics Delaware to host the first ever Disability Fair on the North Green of UD’s campus. This event is hosted on the first Wednesday of March, nationally known as “Spread the Word to End the Word Day”, in which bystanders are educated on and pledge against the use of a demeaning “R-word” that is often wrongly associated with the disability community.

This event is in hopes of recognizing disability allies. This coalition will be composed of organizations that are in support of Spread the Word and hold similar values and ideas. With this, a mass impact can be made and organizations can be recognized for who they support and what their missions are!

#disabilityfair2024 #spreadtheword

The Disability Fair will feature: @seans.house @allearsud @specialolympicsud @specialolympicsde @autismdelaware @udpediatricbtf @epilepsyclub_ud @pekatud @bestbuddiesde @udbestbuddies @udance @udoperationsmile @udamt @thearcofdelaware and more!

First RSO of the week for the spring semester!!! Starting strong with PEK😁

Here is what our awesome rep Ava had to say about her RSO:

“We are the Iota Alpha chapter of Phi Epsilon Kappa! A national, professional, honorary fraternity for individuals pursuing careers in kinesiology fields! Our chapter is focused on building networks amongst all the kinesiology related careers to foster a tight knit health care team! I have been involved with UDance since freshman year to provide support to families battling childhood cancer and to honor my cousin Christian, a B+ Angel. Being able to bridge a connection with PEK and UDance has been super special and all of our members have been crushing it so far this year!!!“

Keep up the amazing work PEK🎗️💛
