nihongoes crazy 🇯🇵 - - - - - - For the past 6 years, I have been dedicated to learning Japanese through self teaching lessons and, more recently, classes at Clemson. It was something I picked up randomly in 2020 and I never thought I would actually stick with it. If you were to tell me 6 years later I would be flying to Japan for 3 weeks to study and learn amongst 50 other students from around the world, I would’ve never believed you. Going to Japan, let alone studying there, has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, because for me it represents perseverance. For something to be as small as a summer hobby to turn into a key part of my college major and my future career inspires me to keep going. My Japanese is FAR from being great and I still have a long way to go, but I am lucky to have the best support system with me every step of the way <3 (sry for being cheesy 😛) I studied at Kansai University and I made the BEST friends I could ever ask for there. Every day I was catching the absolute last bus and running off of 5 hours of sleep and it was so worth it. I visited Tokyo (Ginza, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Shibuya), Kyoto (Nishiki Market, Arashiyama, Kiyomizu), Osaka (DOTOMBORI MY FAV!!!!!!), Kobe, Uji, & Nara. It was so cool seeing all these amazing places and learning about areas of the world I barely even knew existed. Thank you JIGE & Kansai for this once in a lifetime opportunity and thank you everyone for making this experience so so worth it! Currently booking my flights to Hawaii, Malaysia, Thailand, and Spain ✈️

. 9/26-27 What fades from sight lives in memory, the journey keeps writing. Everything is amazing, only if could follow tour guide’s explanation would be the best🥹 ¿Cómo estás? Muy bien. ¡Muchas gracias! As a Spanish beginner, it’s necessary to say “si” to pretend knowing what they are talking :)
