Last night, Preston made the incredible decision to be baptized, and we had the joy of celebrating with our family and friends!
We are so proud of him and his commitment to give his life to the Lord. It was a beautiful moment filled with faith, love, and support.
We’re especially thankful for @gracesrq for being a place where our family can grow in the gospel, experience true community, and learn what it means to love one another deeply. Our hearts are full!

God was so good to me this year. 2024 was FULL of memories and moments that will stick with me forever. So grateful for all the amazing people in my life who helped make this year so special. This year was a year of stretching, but also a year of incredible blessing like I’ve never seen before. Couldn’t be more grateful for this amazing life I get to live. So excited for all the Lord is going to do in 2025!

Campus Pastors of Rock City Church,

I’ve had a front-row seat to witness the conviction you have in making sure the Church is cared for, rather than focusing on how the Church can be your catalyst for influence.

I’ve been able to hear you process the disappointment of people stepping away from their responsibility in caring for the Church, ultimately creating more weight for you to carry for a season, but you don’t give up.

I’ve been privy to you wrestling with the lies from the enemy, trying to convince you that the good work you’re giving your life to is in vain.

I’ve seen you be open-handed with those on your team, ensuring that you’re not the reason someone is unable to step into all that God has for them, simply because you don’t want to lose a familiar face at your campus.

Ultimately, your leadership, resilience, and heart for the Church have been inspiring and refreshing. I’m so thankful that together we get to witness God build His Church through us.

ONE YEAR

It was a year ago today I received a text message that would completely change the trajectory of our lives as a family.

No plans to get fired from my job on September 13, 2023.
No plans to ever step back in to a full time ministry context. No plans to ever move away from North Carolina.
No plans to uproot our kids.
No plans to rebuild community.
That’s when I know God asked us… “So do you trust me with it all?”

The past year produced a lot of uncertainty. While at the same time our faith in God grew stronger.

I’m so thankful for my wife who has been such a steady support through all the unknowns.

So thankful for my kids who have shown a level of resilience that I didn’t know was possible for teenagers to have.

So thankful for Pastors Chad and Katie Fisher who took a chance on us.

So thankful to the Rock City team for welcoming us with open arms.

So thankful to Joel Delph who connected us with Phil Klein who connected us with Pastor Chad and Katie.

God has been so faithful. Time to get to work!

This weekend we got to celebrate Jason and all his incredible accomplishments since graduating from Warren Harding High School! Jason was entered into the Warren City Schools Distinguished alumni Hall of Fame! I couldn’t be more proud of him. His dedication to the city that shaped the person he is today!! The boys and I are your biggest fans and so glad we got to celebrate you all weekend! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
