POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

America runs on Adderall. From Silicon Valley to DC, through prep school and grad school, in ad agencies and writing rooms, many of our most powerful minds are flying on prescription-grade speed. 💊

This fall, Pioneer Works Press presents 𝑪𝒍𝒖𝒃 𝑴𝒆𝒅: 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑬𝒑𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄, an essay collection examining how America’s most prescribed stimulant has changed the way we think, write, and work.

The collection launches at Press Play, Pioneer Works’ annual independent book fair, on December 12, 2026, with a talk, fragrances, and more to be announced. 👀

We’ve got body positivity, body neutrality, body curiosity (a concept I write about in my book THE FOREVER PROJECT, out in January), body grief (check out @jaynemattingly for more on that one) — but what about body … nothingness?

Writer P.E. Moskowitz (of the Mental Hellth newsletter) wrote a guest essay for my newsletter Body Type about why they never want to think about their body again. As someone who is making a whole career of thinking and writing about bodies, I love what it’s made me consider.

Check it out in Body Type or comment “link” and it’ll auto-DM to you.
