You’re the One That I Haunt 👻 (and yesss, every time I read or think of this title, I instantly hear “doo, doo, doo” in my head… think Grease 🎶😅). My bun Artemis hasn’t been featured in a while, so he decided to crash the photo shoot and say hey! 🐰✨ (He clearly gives this one his official seal of approval too.) Guys, I loved this book SO much! 5 whole, swoonworthy stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re trying to picture the vibe, think Just Like Heaven (that classic Reese Witherspoon & Mark Ruffalo movie!) meets a halloweeny, ghostly version of Ghosts of Christmas Past. It hit all the right notes: 👻 Cozy spooky vibes mixed with genuine heat ✨ High emotional stakes that had me completely hooked 💖 A romance that will literally have you kicking your feet It gave me all the feels, all the hopes and dreams, and I truly loved every single second of reading it. Absolutely fabulous! 👌🏻✨ If this isn't on your TBR yet, fix that immediately! 💬 Question of the Day: What’s your favorite spooky or ghostly romance that gave you all the swoony feels? #YoureTheOneThatIHaunt #KatieJung #Bookstagram #SpookyRomance #BookReview

@authorchloewalsh @somosinfinitoslibros @penguinau

✨American Fantasy✨ If it’d gone into this novel with zero expectations I might have found it better, but unfortunately my expectations were sky-high after loving the author’s last book, This Time Tomorrow. I just found it so tender and heartwarming; I expected the same from this book but was disappointed with what felt like surface-level execution. The set-up was great - a cruise ship called the American Fantasy, setting sail featuring a reunited 80s boy band called Boy Talk and hundreds of its middle-aged fans. There were three main characters with alternating chapters: a band member who’s feeling lost, a cruise guest who was supposed to attend with her sister but has come alone, and one of the promoters, who was just broken up with. The story was entertaining but it all felt quite obvious and surface-level. I also felt there was too much going on with the three MCs - we spent the most time with Annie, slightly less time with Keith, and then hardly got any of the promoter’s perspective, which made me wonder why it was even included. Anyways - not for me. Rating: Average

🐉 what’s your favourite audio book? ⚔️ this book. oh my gods. I recently finished the audio of this masterpiece and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. The ultimate enemies to lovers, with so much complexity, history, tension and yearning I have been left bereft by the ending of this. Our MCs have been at war for years. After the Iron Sky was erected leaving Sorayas people struggling to power their light fuelled weapons. And she has been meeting with a defector for the last 2 years, giving them vital information. When Soraya is captured by the ‘demon’ the most feared soldier of the Dar’raks army, where is pries into her memories to weaken her. She is left questioning everything she believes in. And so is he. When i say this is ENEMIES to … well you’ll see. It’s enemies like bone deep they want eachother dead. And the tension between them had me squealing A.T. Emerald has created the perfect mix of dystopian with a romantic enemies to lovers fantasy with this book, its full of twists, high stakes and epic battles. With twists of a beautiful found family, quirky familiars, quiet moments of gentleness and heat. It was EVERYTHING. And the audiobook is next level, with a full cast it is so immersive and so clever when their speaking over intercom. Everyone has to read this, the hype is so justified. “They were like a sun and moon, slowly circling each other, each fighting for their chance to eclipse the other.” 🩸 “You trapped the sun in a cage. But she does not burn the way you thought she would. Does she?” ⚔️ ((thank you to the babe that is @sarabethsbooks for lending me her copy to read )) #undertheironsky #enemiestolovers #dystopianromance #romantasybooks #epicfantasybooks

When Javi Dumped Mari by Mia Sosa is an entertaining, dual first-person point-of-view contemporary romance that features a friends-to-lovers trope. It follows the story of two college best friends, shifting back and forth across their ten-year history. Javi fell for Mari early on, but he never felt worthy of her. Eventually, tired of waiting for Javi to step up and confess his feelings, Mari decides to move on and gets engaged to another man that Javi does not know. By the time Javi is ready to confess, he fears it is too late. Ultimately, loving her dearly and wanting her happiness above all, he is prepared to step aside if marrying her fiancé is what is best for her. What happens next remains to be seen—you will have to read the book to find out! Overall, I enjoyed the humor and high drama of the story. The romantic tension between Javi and Mari is well developed as it evolves over the course of their relationship. I also loved how the novel embraces and celebrates their Latin roots and cultural nuances. While maintaining its fun tone, the narrative thoughtfully tackles themes of family, love, legacy, and support. It was an enjoyable read, and I give it a 3.75 out of 5 rating. @putnambooks @penguinaudio #books #reading #bookstagram #contemporaryromance #latin

📖 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 by Elif Shafak 🔍 Different timelines, multiple perspectives, and one timeless message about love. In contemporary United States, 𝘌𝘭𝘭𝘢, an unhappily married woman, returns to the workforce as a reader for a literary agent after years of family life. Her first assignment is to read a manuscript that changes her life: 𝚂𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚝 𝙱𝚕𝚊𝚜𝚙𝚑𝚎𝚖𝚢, a novel about 𝘙𝘶𝘮𝘪, the thirteenth-century Persian poet and Sufi mystic, and his encounter with 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘢𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘻, a wandering dervish who transforms his understanding of love, faith, and spirituality. As the two stories unfold, their characters challenge conventions, question their beliefs, turn their worlds upside down, and discover the power of love to change everything 〰️ while we learn the forty rules of love. 💭 Good heavens, what a journey! This is my third reading experience with Dr. Shafak, and my admiration keeps growing every time! So many topics explored with such care and poetic beauty 〰️ delicate parent-child relationships, unhappy marriages, divorce, spirituality, life lessons, and multiple storylines that seem separate yet come together. Sometimes a little forbidden romance just makes things more interesting! Overall: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Audio: 4/5 🎧🎧🎧🎧 (dual) Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Extracurricular by @rlynn_solomon was an ALL vibes reads for me and I loved it!
