One thing about me? I'm going to CELEBRATE another indie author!

I'll comment, repost, share your work with others, write a review, read your work because this author journey has taught me that there's room for ALL of us.

Saturday night at Sip, Sign, & Pour, I had the opportunity to give a fellow friend and author @gymratjo_ the floor to talk about her debut book, The Rebuild You Didn't Know You Needed. We took pictures with each other's books, and I even got my copy signed 🥹

Then yesterday, I took my cousin to @thebookcellaratl and got to see @penningmorganaevans's Rolling Into Love on the shelves! And ya'll should see me in the comments about how much I love me some Morie & Jordan! 😂

But the sweetest part? My cousin decided to purchase a copy right there in the store 🫶🏾

THAT is what supporting indie authors looks like.

It's not always about buying someone's book, sometimes sharing their work, a post, showing up to an event, or simply celebrating their accomplishments.

Supporting another author's dream doesn't diminish your own.

The indie author community needs us to POUR into one another, too.

And I'm going to continue to do just that 🤞🏾

Just a few indie authors checking the fridge for something good… 😂📚

And apparently, we keep the good stuff right next to the wine and leftovers.

One of my favorite parts of becoming an author has been finding community with other people who were crazy enough to write a whole book and put it into the world too 🫶🏾

Some of us have never even met in person. We connected through social media, cheered each other on from different places, and when I randomly said, “Hey… will y’all put your books in the refrigerator for me?” nobody asked enough questions 😂😂😂

So here we are.

The fridge is stocked. What are you pulling out first?

Go show these indie authors some love and discover new stories 🤎

Happy Friday eve!!
This Thursdays vibes are dedicated to the WOMEN who life has fucked over. Who tried to do the best they could with what they had.
A few recent reads where I wish for nothing but the best for the FMCs! They each could use a long deeply penetrating session of pure joy and happiness! May they find love and rest and a life of peace. Because they been through enough!

🍁Crestwood Chronicles by @lbgainestheauthor
🍁Accidents Happen by @jcageauthor
🍁The Myers Effect by @penningmorganaevans
🍁A Soul Meant for Mine Series @authort.michelle

We’re supposed to pick one series for the month, but they sound so good.. I want to read them all 😩🤎🧡💛

OK, last reel, lol. (I may still post pictures, though) During the weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting some amazing romance authors. I met @camaa_pearl, @penningmorganaevans, and I also met @for_thelove_of_poetry. There were so many amazing authors I met throughout the weekend, and they all put so much in their craft, and I came back home with their amazing books, which I can't wait to start reading! Show some love, follow their pages, and check out their books!

The Conyers Book Festival was the 3rd stop in the BlackCyrano Series Experience Tour. Between the months of May-July, I will be going on hiatus as I finish penning my next book, then get started on editing and publication. The BlackCyrano Series is an award winning groundbreaking series, but wait till you see what I got cooking next!

The next event I will be participating in will be the National Book Club Conference in Atlanta, GA on July 31-August 2, 2026!

The love you feel when you finally meet an author you have been following and praise her work. I remember when I first read Rolling Into Love by @penningmorganaevans and I shared on my review how I felt like I was apart of the story. I grew up going to Golden Glide. I went to an HBCU. The book was nostalgic for me and made me go back to my college years. Anyway, I am glad to see her books in my local book store and I can’t wait to read more. Get it girl!! #bookstagrammer #blackauthorsofinstagram #indieauthorsofinstagram #bookstagram #bookrecommendations
