Athletic Hall of Fame for my high school XC team ❤️🖤

We were the first in school history to win the XC girls state title. But when you’re 17 years old, what does it really mean to you? You can’t see the fullness of the picture until you step back.

25 years later, I see it.

Looking at the school captains board, there wasn’t even a team before 1995. This particular year (my Junior year) was a perfect storm of personalities, abilities, & resilience.

My own athletic prowess would never singularly land me in the Hall of Fame, but that’s the beauty of a TEAM. Every SINGLE PERSON plays a role. I was really good at showing up, working hard, including others, & (as always) making creative collages to inspire my team

(remember your presence, energy, & hard work matters more than you know)

Endlessly grateful for these girls & for the running program Mr. Ritter has fostered @thepenningtonschool
Special shoutouts to Ellen E. for convincing Mr. Ritter to start the team. To my teammates Celeste, Han-Luen, Candace, Jen, Kathleen, Sarah & Celina. To our assistant coach Mr. Aklonis & Mrs. Ritter ❤️

And most importantly for ALL the Pennington XC girls - past, present, & future ❤️🖤❤️🖤

Congratulations to Chad Bridges ’96 on securing his 200th career win as Head Coach of The Pennington Boys’ Soccer Program. Coach Bridges was able to achieve this milestone today (9/26) with a 3-1 win over St. Thomas More at the NXT LVL Showcase in Albany, NY.

Coach Bridges took over the program in 2010 and has built and turned it into a nationally recognized program. He is the epitome of leadership, he not only molds young players on the field but more importantly guides them to be good people off the field. Well done Coach!

Go Red Hawks!

Pennington’s Entrepreneurship Speaker Series kicked off the year with Ed Schwartz ’78, who shared a career shaped by big ideas, calculated risks, and plenty of lessons learned along the way. 💡 Schwartz spoke with students about entrepreneurship, failure, curiosity, and the importance of surrounding yourself with smart people as you build something new.

A new chapter for one of Pennington’s most historic spaces! 💪 The newly completed Stephen Tan ’73 Fitness Center in the JINGOLI Gym is officially open, bringing state-of-the-art fitness and wellness amenities to the entire campus community. The space features top-of-the-line Life Fitness equipment, Peloton bikes, and a wide range of strength and cardio options designed to support everything from everyday workouts to athletic training.

The renovation also keeps the history of the “small gym” front and center, with archival murals and images celebrating the generations of Pennington athletes who have used the space since the original gym was built in 1911. A modern fitness center with plenty of Pennington history built right in. 🏋️‍♂️✨
