Festival Review: Penny Lane Weekender - Day 1
.
Words: Will Carr, Photos: Adrian Wharton
.
“What’s the Penny Lane Weekender? I hear you ask. In case you’ve been hiding under a rock and
roll rock, the Weekender is a festival or sorts. And if you’re like me and the word “festival”
conjures up images of desperate eighteen year olds fighting over the last can of Stella in a
collapsing muddy tent, then fear not. Far from the medieval nightmare of most music festivals, the
Penny Lane Weekender takes the more dignified approach and is held at four separate bars in the
Penny Lane area of Liverpool.”

Had a blast playing in Liverpool @pennylaneweekender , thanks very much to @pleasureislandliverpool for having us along. Wonderful festival and even better people. Nice to be back playing shows with a full band, couldn’t be happier with the musicians that are joining me on the next chapter of Birrell or Biscuit’s journey. Stay tuned for the next full band show which will coincide with the release of next new single “These Days”

Our live performance from the @pennylaneweekender performing one of our tracks “5am” at @leafsmithdown

This song speaks out the truth about addiction and the repeat of a never ending cycle.

Thank you for taking the time to listen and please do share.
