🌙 Annual Chimney Swift Migration Watch Presented By Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust   Every September, something extraordinary happens right here at Bryn Athyn College: hundreds — sometimes thousands — of Chimney Swifts swirl through the sky at dusk before funneling into a single roost for the night. For years, they've chosen the historic Forge chimney right here on the college campus as their gathering place — and you're invited to see it in person. 📅 Thursday, September 24, 2026 🕡 6:00 p.m. — Intro talk, Pendleton Hall Auditorium 🕖 6:45 p.m. — Migration Watch, Bryn Athyn College Forge 📍 Parking: 2965 Campus Drive, Bryn Athyn, PA 19009 (Follow the event parking signs).  Free admission, but pre-registration is required. Bring a chair and your binoculars! 👉 Register here: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/volinteres/event/september24th-chimneyswiftwatch/ #brynathyncollege #communityevent #ɴᴀᴛᴜʀᴇᴘʜᴏᴛᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ #birdphotography

a river runs through it… enjoy the end of summer soundtrack from a trail i’ve spent most of my life using as a respite. expect more nature on here as it seems we’ve lost the plot on what we need to invest our energy and resources into. #naturesounds #momentofzen #protecther

I drive by a section of @pennypacktrust when I visit my dad. The part you see from the road has rolling hills and stands of trees that always catch my attention. This Winter I saw an excellent picture taken by @kevross4 and he granted permission for me to paint from it. His image has wild turkeys looking for their lunch along the rutted snowy trail. Dark trees frame the space and I instantly saw the scene as a painting. A trip to the woodshop is in order to make a custom handmade frame and this piece will be on the wall for the next pop-up show at @exhibitbgallery on 6/19 along with lots of brand new paintings. This one is 16”x34” oil pastel on panel. I included a still image in the video because the colors and detail are more accurate. #pennypacktrust #winter #turkeys #landscape_lovers #harryboardman
