WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026 🥉

If you’d told me at the start of this season that I’d finish it with an individual World Champs medal, I wouldn’t have believed you.

This year was always about finding my consistency again, making finals, and staying healthy. Learning a completely new discipline after a year away focusing on medicine has required more resilience than I thought I had. At times it felt like I was constantly on the back foot, just trying to catch up, but I’m proud of what we’ve managed to achieve in OCR in just eight months.

The last individual World Championship medal I won was in Bath in 2023. Since then, so much has changed—in the sport and in my life—which makes being back on a World Championship podium, and winning team bronze with the girls, even more special.

4 days before we flew to China, I was crying in my kitchen on crutches, convinced I’d torn my calf and wouldn’t be competing. After a last-minute MRI showed it was a strain, I had eight days off training and flew out to China hoping it would hold up when I started again. With far from the preparation I’d wanted, it showed me that anything can happen, even when you don’t believe you’re capable of it.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of this comeback, fought in my corner, and made moments like this possible. I always knew it would be a big ask, for me and for my team, but to round off the season with this medal makes it all so worth it.

The road to LA 2028 starts now.

But first… a bit of recovery. 💙
