The February 22 @peoplessymphony performance with Richard Goode, Sarah Shafer, and Anthony McGill at New York’s Town Hall will be dedicated to the late Benita Valente—a wonderful occasion to celebrate the life of a beloved figure in Marlboro history.

This Brahms/Schubert program includes songs and The Shepherd on the Rock, which Benita recorded at Marlboro with Rudolf Serkin and Harold Wright, performed by three artists who were close to her.

In the midst of seasons turning, we send you our sincere wishes for a fulfilling 2026. Our miles in music traveled in 2025 brought us to many of your vicinities, and we are so grateful for your musical kinship.

We look forward to more sharing of this living art form as we bring our programs to Mexico, Houston, Philadelphia, Louisville, and Virgin Islands for our January-February 2026 tour. More details below.

We hope to share music’s gifts of transformation and renewal together with you in 2026. For now, we offer you some Schubert: the music of a young artist insisting on hope in the face of despair.

Amy, Brigid and Julia
