if you know me at all, you know that hayley williams has been my biggest role model for the past 2 decades & how i waited for her solo tour to happen for 6 years… well, it finally did, & i got to go on the craziest most chaotic trip to atlanta with some very important people in my life to be there for opening night.

(no really if i told you what happened it atlanta, you would think i was making it up)

(at least we were crying laughing the entire trip)

Favorite memories from Ego Death at @tabernacleatl 💛

13-year-old me wouldn’t believe this 😭 de los mejores días de mi vida for sure!🥹

First time camping out for a concert — a bit challenging at first, but so worth it. I’m really glad I pushed myself to go alone and ended up leaving with new friends 💛 it feels so special to be part of such a beautiful community.

Thank you @yelyahwilliams for being such an inspiration all these years. Seeing her from barricade felt unreal. Her vocals were insane, and singing our hearts out together is something I’ll never forget 🫶

1. Breathe.
2. Acknowledge how you feel and how frustrating it is.
3. If it’s safe to fully “feel your feelings”, do so. If you’re home alone, maybe it’s safe to stomp around, scream “this is stupid”, or cry. If not, when you acknowledge that you’re feeling __ about ___, tell those feelings you’ll be back to discuss and make sure they’re safe later.
4. Hold yourself.
5. And then set your intentions.
6. Check back in. Feel the feelings you need to. See if your feelings changed. Maybe you’ve moved to guilty instead of angry. Go through the steps as much as needed.

If you know tapping, add that in two address from two energetic planes.

Let’s do it together…
1. Breathe slowly in and out.
2. The fires here are very frustrating politically, sad for all the memories humans lost in their homes, scary for the firefighters and people in the path, guilty that we can’t divert water or give what they truly need, and overwhelming with all the other chaos going on in the world.
3. Feel these feelings. If not, tell them you’ll come back when it’s safe and move to 4. Feelings are felt in so many ways. Maybe it takes you for a run with your angry face, maybe it means punching the air and pillows, or maybe you cry. Do whatever comes naturally.
4. Hold yourself. Hug yourself. Hug your teddy, your kids, your significant other. Be safe to yourself.
5. Set your intentions. Let the firefighters be safe, strong, protected, and alert. May the people in harms way be safe, alerted, and protected. May we all feel safe in our hearts and our homes. May we help each other and make the best for ourselves and Earth.
6. Check back in. It’s ok to be happy. It’s ok to feel joy. It’s ok to take the only action you can take. It’s ok to focus on your family. It’s also ok to feel sad, hopeless, and angry. Send yourself some love. Send it to all. Even if that’s all you can do.✨💖✨ How do you feel?

I’ve been fleshing out some of my solo acoustic arrangements, which I’m looking forward to sharing this Tuesday 9/24/24 at @meridianbuda on a bill with my union brother @thurman__love . I go on first at 6pm, cover’s $15, and it’s a @myhaam day show (I’m not a HAAM member but I am a proponent of affordable health care for all).

1. Cartoon me, enabled by @pepperjackets friend maker
2. Poster I made for the show this Tues. 9/24/24 (brown cardstock paper, micron pen->black gel pen, colored pencil, gold acrylic, watercolor with salt for texture). This work, both in its content and creation, was a symbolic and pragmatic exercise in finding my center, which I’m learning is a constant practice requiring focus, organization, and determination. I was inspired by Jung’s practice of drawing mandalas as well as my ongoing efforts to connect to my Irish heritage.
3. Artwork I made last night (crayon and oil pastel).
