Winter @winterrainey is staying snug...
In her jumper and fluffy rug...
This weather is meant for staying home at night and snoring whilst having hugs... This tiny little pocket rocket puggy was adopted by her furever family four years ago....
Winter loves her daily walkies, helping her mum at photo shoots, trips to the country, snuggles on the couch and when it’s food time she lets out a Woo woo woo to let everyone know...
That even with no teeth left she still runs the show... Winter xxx
Adopted & Loved!

Winter's (formerly Bex) amazing Pug Rescue story here: www.facebook.com/pg/PugRescueVic/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10153260790343338

Advertised as “Free to a good home” on a popular trading website Winter (formerly named Bex) turned out to be not so free and in not so good health...
Emaciated, brittle straw like fur and the tiniest pure pug adult we have laid eyes on all rang alarm bells when she was collected and entered into Pug Rescue’s care.... Shaking and becoming very lethargic every time after eating and drinking copious amounts of water the thoughts of either diabetes or liver shunt came to my mind.
After diabetes tests at @knoxvetclinic was ruled out with glucose testing full blood work and liver function tests were performed.
Her liver function was shown to be extremely poor. As congenital liver shunts cause stunted growth, poor body condition, lethargy, toxic blood after eating, excessive thirst bets were placed on that being the cause of all of Bex’s issues.

Under the care of Dr Charles at @southpawsvet a CT confirmation of liver shunt meant surgery with Winter having her ribs spread and a band placed around the offending shunt to close it off and redirect the blood through her liver.

Life saving liver shunt surgery was a success.
The rest is history :) #pug #winter #cuddle #snuggle #cold #warm #adopt #adopted #adoptdontshop #foster #donate #volunteer #pugrescue #pugrescuevic
