God rly said u can just sit this year out lol

So when they told me I couldn’t work, travel, or do anything - we got to work building a chariot so Corey could tow me around one of my fav places on earth.

After being hospitalized from a staph infection at the beginning of the year and then suffering a stroke from a rare birth defect that left me with permanent brain damage, I woke up fully paralyzed from the neck down on my left side, and spent the last few months relearning how to walk and talk.

After beating cancer twice and heading into surgery # who knows what next month, I’m trying to see if I’ll get a cool superpower out of this, but at this point I think it’s just a concerning inability to sit the f down.🤣👹

Medically cleared for Burning Man has become a recurring note in my chart lol

And somehow against all odds, we made it. This Burn felt different and hit me in all the ways I needed. I danced, I laughed, I ugly cried with the people I love most

Knowing I would’ve never woken up had I just gone to bed that night, ‘life is short’ stops being a cliche.

Life is too fragile to keep making room for people who make it heavier. Some people show up when life gets hard. Others teach you exactly where they belong in your life.

I’m leaving this Burn with a lot less baggage, a much clearer idea of who I want beside me, and an even stronger commitment to doing the things that make me happy while I’m lucky enough to be here.

Tomorrow isn’t promised so do the stupid shit that makes you happy.
Dance when you probably shouldn’t be dancing yet - even if it’s still off beat.

Love your people loudly & leave the wrong ones in the dust. 🌪️🔥
