Meet Kacie! One of the founders of Perfectly Placed Dorms! ☺️

“Hi! I’m Kacie. I grew up in McCall Idaho, before attending the University of Idaho and later moving to Maryland for dental hygiene school. After graduation, I bought my first home next door to one of my best friends. We would take turns helping each other with DIY projects, tackling everything from painting, backsplash to laying hardwood floors. This was when my love for home design began.

Fast forward to Covid, my husband Ben and I’s home had a hot water leak. We found ourselves in a rental and in the depths of a full home renovation. At the same time, Emily was going through a new home build. We would bounce ideas off each other and came to realize we had very similar style. Neutral colors, fur, antlers, wallpaper, and plaids are a few of our favorite things! Friends soon caught on and wanted us helping them with their places…. Long and short of the story that was how Perfectly Placed was born❤️.

Ben, and I have three sons- Brooks, Drew, and our furry son, Banks. They are busy with basketball, football, golf, skiing, and lacrosse. We are enjoying every minute of this season of life.

I have truly been blessed in my career journey…I loved every minute of dental hygiene and pinch myself that a hobby I just adored is now a business venture…. to make it more sweet, it’s with one of my most adored friends!!”

“Hello and welcome! I’ve always loved keeping spaces styled, simple, and clean. From holiday decorating and themed celebrations to refreshing a home for a new season, I find joy in creating thoughtful details that make everyday life feel special.

I love bringing new life to both spaces and wardrobes — designing environments and outfits that feel customized and uniquely personal. Styling has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I was constantly rearranging my room, experimenting with décor and paint, playing dress-up with my sister and cousins, and organizing everything in sight.

Today, I’m blessed with three wonderful boys — Ryan, Jake, and Cole — a mini golden retriever named Gus, and my husband, Jon. Life is full and busy in the best way. I feel incredibly grateful to do work I love while maintaining the flexibility to be present for my family and friends.”
