Each image in this series reflects a quiet shift I witnessed through the lens — a movement from tension to release, from confinement to intention. Shooting in these raw industrial spaces revealed a contrast between fragility and strength that unfolded naturally in her gestures. I wanted to capture the moments where control meets uncertainty, where the body speaks without needing clarity or sight. This series became less about the setting and more about the silent transformation happening within it.

Hey. Just in case you forgot. The stories you tell yourself create the whole world that you live in.
As you do your thing, feel your feelings, just know that you simply being curious about what’s beyond your KNOWN, lifts veils and opens inner doorways to more Love.

Only always.

2spots open to my retreat in November. A time and space to drop into what’s real and true, infinite and loving. Bring the calling of your heart and your open mind and the experience you have been yearning for will meet you.

Big love

The youth of Trenton are full of talent and creativity, and I am asking the community to come out and support them at our upcoming “Trenton’s Got Talent” performing arts showcase on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the New Jersey State Museum Theater in Trenton. This event will provide a platform for young performers from across the city to share their singing, dancing, acting, and other artistic abilities with friends, family, and the broader Trenton community. Your attendance and support will mean the world to these talented young people, helping to foster their confidence and passion for the arts.

As well, we really need your financial support to help us make this event unforgettable for these youth. It is our goal to make them feel as though they experienced being a part of “The Grammys”. But not only will we be giving them trophies, they will also receive scholarship cash prizes and be educated in the performing arts genre. So would you please consider helping us and donating to Trenton’s Got Talent.

For more information to donate, sponsor or purchase tickets, please visit www.TRENTONSGOTTALENT.com or call (609) 353-3281

Kathak

As one of the most well known of the seven classical dance forms of India, Kathak traces its origins to the period of the great Epics when the term Kathak was originally coined to describe a storyteller. The role of the Kathaks or storytellers was to teach as well as to entertain. They used to sing and dance, narrate, enact and mime stories from the Ramayana, the Mahabharat and the Puranas in the temple courtyards and village squares. These nomadic bards of Northern India specialized in recounting mythological and moral tales from the scriptures and embellished their recitals with hand gestures and facial expressions and eventually the word Kathak evolved to encompass the classical dance form.

In time, this dance became a distinct part of the social organization and has kept changing form from one period to another. Originally it had its roots in religion, flourishing under the vast spiritual empire established in the North of India and enjoying the patronage of temples, priests and devotees. Eventually, with the advent of the Mughals and especially in the time of Akbar (1556-1605) dance ceased to be accepted as a form of worship and shifted its place from the temples to the royal courts. With rhythm and stylised mime it became a sophisticated chamber art. The rulers of the time, brought with them traditions from Persia and naturally these merged with the existing dance forms in India. In fact Kathak is the only dance form that has a synthesis of Hindu and Muslim cultures.
