Last weekend, I got the opportunity to play with the great Swedish band Tusenbröder. It’s a duo that consists of singer/songwriter Johan Airijoki and electronic wizard Nils Rinnefeldt. Their music is a unique blend of folk-pop and electronic music. Super catchy! It’s hard to describe music with words, so go check it out. The occasion was the wedding party of my dear friends Markus Lemke and Sandra Ärleborg. And what a party it was! Luckily, @perhampus had brought his camera, and he snapped some really cool shots. Thanks to friends old and new, love you all!

There's a particular kind of absence that doesn't look like absence at all.

Still in the room. Still physically there. But somewhere else entirely... eyes down, attention folded into a glowing screen.

Children notice this before they have words for it.

Because children are always reading the room. Not looking for perfection. Not needing entertainment. Just looking for *you* a glance that stays, a response that isn't delayed, a nervous system that's actually available to meet theirs.

When that presence is interrupted often enough, something quiet shifts.

They start to compete. For eye contact. For engagement. For the unspoken confirmation that they matter more than whatever lives inside that phone.

This isn't about guilt.

Attention is pulled in every direction in modern life...relentlessly, by design. But awareness changes things. Because childhood isn't built from grand gestures. It's built from small moments of attunement. The ordinary seconds where a child looks up...and finds you already looking back.

Those seconds are the foundation.

Grateful to @perhampus for bringing attention to something that deserves it.
