Week two of my friends group art challenges! The prompt this week was snake 🐍

For this one I used a modified Zorn color palette! Instead of black, red, and yellow, I used perylene green, cadmium red deep hue, and cadmium yellow hue!

My friend is starting up a personal art group and this is my watercolor for the first prompt: Soap!

I used a limited palette of Opera Rose, Prussian Blue, and Raw Sienna for 90% of this one. I did touch into Permanent Rose and Lemon Yellow Hue in my mixes in a couple spots though haha

I plan to update my watercolor palette soon for better mixes, but watercolor is expensive ✨

My two personality traits: pickles and cats💕✨ Made this silly dress for #amtgard and super happy with how cute it came out~ wearing it with my #bycocket because I just made it this week and I’m going to wear it with everything, everywhere lol.

As for the dress construction, I made this in the style of a #cotehardie. I rushed to make the entire thing in the few hours before my event and in trying to have it done quickly as opposed to done well, I discovered a different way to sew the inset gores that actually came out way better than how I normally do it. I still need some practice because I consider inset gores and arms to be my two biggest areas of ~poor sewing skill but it felt amazing to make something quick and cute while also accidentally learning something new. This cute and fun dress kinda helped me get out of the sewing slump I’ve been going through💕
