Ridge Royale : this ridge hike takes you up to a deep forest where the pathway demarcates the decidious, from the alpine eco- habitat. The path is soft with moist humus and fragrances of the forest adds a mysterious and perpetual petrichor to the air. Ancient , tall pine trees here veil a secret fort in ruins only a few have ventured.
The panoramas offered from here are magnificent. The whole Kanchendzonga massif lies to the true North and at eye level. Spanning from the right looms Nepal in the horizon and merging into the 2 Indo- China ( Tibet Autonomous Region's Nathu la and Jelep La) and fading into the distant Bhutan Himalayas.
All part of The Story of the Silk Route ....

Kalimpong : Nest of Smiles

Intriguing stories of yore, position Kalimpong as a straddled frontier trade town on the mountain pass near Jelep La, in the Indo-Tibet(China) border. It was a needle eye from where the whole fabric of the Eastern Himalaya was sewn.

Also opined to be the "City of the Seven New Years", Kalimpong assimilated many diverse communities - missionaries , monks , merchant and mercenaries - all in their quest for God, Gold and Glory!!

Our Heritage Experiences in the Himalayas offers you timeless space to walk, talk and contemplate eras of the bygones , living legacies and stories by our local people.

Peep into Paradise- Kalimpong!!
