Interesting story…

When I was walking around @perlanovahydrangee nursery recently, I spotted this very unusual hydrangea, which had two colours to the flower.

Very simply, it is caused by the fact that hydrangea colourant had been only added to one side of the pot. So some blooms change to pink, some don’t. Of course, in time, it will stabilise and be a single colour.

However, it looked like such an exciting novelty, that I asked if I could post it to social media.

Two weeks later, Perla Nova had 2 orders for this product. And now they’re looking to produce it bespoke for those customers.

Loving this result! Product development on the spot 👀
