Artwork by @pernelberkeley

#panelpainting #abstractgeometricart #contemporaryart A geometric and patterned collage on a white background, featuring layers of four distinct paper shapes. A teal, scalloped-patterned triangular form is in the background, topped by an orange and cream geometric, patterned piece with reddish-brown hexagons. An L-shaped shape with thin, horizontal blue and white stripes is layered over the other two pieces, with a slight overlap at the bottom right. The art work casts a soft shadow, giving it a three-dimensional effect. The color palette is a mix of muted teals, burnt oranges, and cool blues, with hints of red and cream.

Four Artists: A Closer Look is on view now through December 21.

Discover Jacob Crook’s remarkably photograph-like mezzotint engravings; Pernel Berkeley’s untraditional approach to painting through shaped and patterned panels; Pesya Altman’s figurative paintings of fleeting daily moments; and Ellen Burgin’s abstractly painted compositions, suggestive of novel land- and body-forms.

Gallery Hours: Weds – Sat
11 am – 6 pm
