Manouchehr Fallah is a political prisoner from Rasht, born in 1983 (1362). He was arrested in June 2023 (Khordad 1402) at Rasht Airport and is currently held in Lakan Prison in Rasht.
He was charged with moharebeh (enmity against God) for allegedly detonating a small sound bomb (or firecracker) outside the entrance of the Gilan Judiciary building. The incident caused only about 15 million tomans in damage and resulted in no casualties or injuries.
In his first case, he was sentenced to one year and three months in prison for insulting Khamenei and propaganda against the system. That sentence was completed, but authorities prevented his release and opened a second case against him.
The Supreme Court of Iran upheld his death sentence for the second time on October 21, 2026, and the case has been sent to the Criminal Sentence Enforcement Unit in Rasht. He is now at imminent risk of execution.
His lawyer is Milad Panahipour, and the judge who issued the latest death sentence is Ahmad Darvish-Goftar. He is the father of a 16-year-old daughter named Asal. Before his arrest, he worked as a tattoo artist and lived in Kish.

“I am proud of my son. He drank alcohol, but he was not a thief. He did not steal from his country.”

A POWERFUL MESSAGE TO AUNT NARGES, the state television presenter who reportedly labelled those who took to the streets on January 8th and 9th as drunks.

A grieving father standing proudly by his son, refusing to let his memory be dishonoured.

His words expose the hypocrisy of a system that condemns ordinary Iranians while those in power face accusations of corruption and theft.

And how beautifully, how proudly he said those words:

⁨ حکم اعدام ایلیا بن‌رشید امروز رسماً اعلام شد. هرانا گزارش داد شعبه پنجم دادگاه انقلاب اصفهان او را به اتهام محاربه از طریق مشارکت در تخریب اموال عمومی به اعدام محکوم کرده، و این حکم سه‌شنبه بیست‌وهشتم مهر به او ابلاغ شده. ایلیا بیست‌ودو ساله است، اهل شاهین‌شهر اصفهان، و در اعتراضات دی‌ماه ۱۴۰۴ بازداشت شد. الان در زندان دستگرد اصفهان است. علاوه بر اعدام، برای اجتماع و تبانی علیه امنیت کشور سه سال و شش ماه و یک روز، و برای تبلیغ علیه نظام نه ماه و یک روز حبس گرفته، جمعاً چهار سال و سه ماه و دو روز، به‌علاوه دو سال ممنوع‌الخروجی. قبلاً در خرداد هم در پرونده جداگانه‌ای به شش ماه حبس و بیست ضربه شلاق محکوم شده بود. نکته مهم اینه که از دسترسی به وکیل انتخابی محروم بوده و پدر و مادرش فوت کردن، پس عملاً تنها پشتیبانش پدربزرگ و مادربزرگ مسنشه.چون خانواده‌ای نداره که اسمش رو وایرال کنه، خطرش بیشتره.Ilya Ben-Rashid, 22, from Shahin Shahr, Isfahan, has been sentenced to death by Branch 5 of the Isfahan Revolutionary Court on the charge of moharebeh for participating in the destruction of public property during the Dey 1404 protests. The sentence was communicated to him on October 28. He is currently held in Dastgerd Prison.
In addition to the death sentence, he received 3 years, 6 months and 1 day for assembly and collusion against national security, and 9 months and 1 day for propaganda against the regime (total nearly 4 years and 3 months), plus a 2-year travel ban. Earlier he was sentenced to 6 months in prison and 20 lashes in a separate case.

History has a way of teaching its lessons.

Iran has survived them all.

A young Iranian man who stood by his principles is now facing execution.

Ali-Asghar was arrested on 9 January 2026, during Iran’s nationwide protests. According to reports, he was not even participating in the demonstrations but was caught in the crowd while returning home from work.

He was subsequently sentenced to DEATH on a charge of armed rebellion against the state. His sentence was reportedly upheld by the Supreme Court.

On 14 June, he was transferred to Qezelhesar Prison, raising fears of an imminent execution.

AND THEN THERE IS THIS VIDEO.

Standing outside his closed shop, Ali-Asghar explains that customers can buy curtains from neighbouring businesses instead.

Then he delivers the words that say everything about his character:

“BUT DON’T EXPECT ME TO SELL MY HONOUR.”

A young man refusing to compromise his dignity. And now, his own life hangs in the balance.

HE IS ONLY 26. HIS ENTIRE FUTURE SHOULD BE AHEAD OF HIM.
