I worked my first fashion event! Despite a couple bumps in the road at the beginning, I did makeup on all 8 models myself. The show was so beautiful and full of insanely talented artists, It was so amazing to see the final looks all together on the runway! Swipe to see majority of the looks i worked on!

This year broke me open. Losing my sister Zahra reshaped my heart in ways I will carry forever. Grief walks beside me like a shadow, and survivor’s guilt settles in quietly each day. My siblings are my whole world. What Zahra left behind was love. So much of it that it pulled us closer together. We reach for one another more now, making space for both mourning and tenderness. That closeness may be the only beauty born from her leaving.

I am learning that the weight of my grief is equal to the depth of my love. I want to keep choosing love as my compass in my work, in my art, and in how I hold others. My heart will always be heavy, but now I understand why it must be. 🖤🥀
