You spent months thoughtfully choosing the florals, stationery, tablescapes, jewelry, and all the little touches that make the day feel like yours. While you’re busy being present with the people you love, we’re paying attention to it all. The details set the scene, but the people and moments give them meaning. I am there to preserve both 🤍 Planner & Design: @lovemadeweddings Venue: @idoatscrippsforum H&MU: @fulfilledbeauty Getting ready outfit: @shopforthelovers Wedding Dress: @taylarmadedresses Rentals: @letsbashevents Stationary: @luckypressstudio Floral: @bestbudfloral @bestbudevents Cake: @persik_cake . . . . A first look is a private moment before the ceremony where you see each other for the first time, away from the timeline, the guests, and the anticipation of the day. While the emotional impact is often what draws couples in, the practical benefits can also transform the wedding day experience. ✨ More time for portraits Instead of fitting all of your couple’s portraits into cocktail hour, a first look allows us to capture many of your portraits earlier in the day. This means you can enjoy more of your celebration with family and friends while still receiving a beautifully gallery filled with intentional moments ✨ Greater flexibility with lighting Photography is all about light. A first look gives us more flexibility when planning portraits, allowing us to take advantage of the most flattering light available throughout the day. This often results in a more refined, editorial look that feels timeless and elevated ✨ More time together Many couples are surprised by how quickly the wedding day passes. A first look allows you to share more of the experience together, from portraits to bridal party photos, rather than spending much of the day apart. It creates additional moments to connect, settle your nerves, and truly be present with one another. The day is about you two, so why not spend the whole day together? ✨ Most importantly, a first look doesn’t take away from the ceremony. If anything, it often allows couples to be more relaxed, present, and emotionally connected when they walk down the aisle. There is no right or wrong choice, only the choice that best reflects how you want your wedding day to feel. When you’re planning your wedding day, focus on the things that matter most to you, not the things you think you “should” do! Here’s what I always tell my couples to prioritize • Your moments, the quiet ones, the loud ones, and everything in between. • Your experience, build a timeline that feels calm, not rushed. • Your memories, invest in the vendors who care about your story, not just the checklist. • Your joy, the day goes by fast, so choose what makes you genuinely excited. At the end of the day, the most meaningful weddings aren’t the most perfect, they’re the most you. 🤍 Hosts:
