AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺💛💚 What a journey.

Over the past few weeks, we travelled across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth with US Casting Director @jamiecastro_casting for @thehollywoodinitiative first-ever Australian tour.

To every actor who joined us, thank you. Thank you for showing up, taking risks, being vulnerable, asking questions, and investing in your craft. The level of talent, commitment, and passion we witnessed across the country was truly inspiring.

A huge thank you to Jamie for sharing her knowledge, generosity, and passion with every actor along the way. Between the early flights, airport coffees, plenty of laughs, and memories we’ll never forget, it was such a special experience to share this journey together.

And to everyone who helped make this tour possible, hosted us, supported us, and welcomed us into your acting communities, thank you.

Australia, thank you for making our tour one we’ll never forget.

Until next time. 💛

Perth, you were absolutely phenomenal. The energy was high from start to finish, the talent in the room was incredible, and it was the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable tour around Australia.

A huge thank you to Perth Actors Studio and Asha for their support and hospitality, and to every actor who joined us and brought their passion, commitment, and enthusiasm to the workshops.

Perth, we loved every minute. Thank you for helping us end this tour on such a high.

✨ WELCOME BACK TO OUR SERIES, LET’S CHAT ✨
Let’s Chat: Improv 🎭

I sat down with Rich Baker, one of the most incredible improv coaches I’ve ever worked with, to break down the real foundation of improv work.

We talk about:
• Why “yes, and” isn’t actually the first rule
• The real foundation of great improv work
• Why vulnerability is everything on stage
• How supporting your scene partner changes everything
• What actually creates great comedy

Some mic-drop moments:
🔥 “We’re here to support each other and make each other look good.”
🔥 “Without vulnerability, the ‘yes’ doesn’t land.”
🔥 “You only have each other- that’s where the work lives.”

Improv isn’t just about being funny, it’s about trust, presence, and willingness to be seen.

What’s your biggest fear when improvising? Drop it below 👇
