DARK ROOM returns in one week with an extra edition on Saturday, 8th November at Colours Hoxton. Introducing Dark Room Social — a new series of occasional, intimate nights in the venue’s bar area, featuring leading DJs from our scene with a soundtrack of dark ’80s, wave, Italo, electro, and modern goth.

Here are some shots from our last event featuring Boy George — photos by Pete Tachauer.

For this launch, we welcome Claudia Kane, DJ and producer behind recent standout releases including Surrender, remixed by Sherø (Klubkids Records) and Metallic Lovers.

DJ Nyû joins with a specially curated set blending classic and contemporary goth sounds with a few surprises.

Expect a b2b set from Malefica and Ricardo Castro, taking you on a journey through electro and dark wave.

Rounding off the lineup, Dave Newton — the promoter behind the acclaimed revival of Simon Hobart’s legendary KitKat Club London — makes his Dark Room debut with a set connecting the original KitKat era to today’s dark sounds.

This guy!!!
This is Pete, I’ve been teaching him for a few years now. One of the first things he said to me was “Nah! I’m not going to read so don’t bother with that part!” Now if you know me, you know I like a challenge ;)
Well today, Pete did me so proud, he played a whole song whilst reading along!! Look how far you’ve come 🤩
This is what determination and perseverance can do.
Very proud 🥹
