🐾 GREAT FOOD MEANS LITTLE IF YOUR DOG CAN’T ABSORB IT!

You can feed the cleanest, freshest food on the planet… but is your dog actually absorbing those nutrients?

💚 Let’s talk BILE!

Produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder, bile is essential for:

🐾 Digesting and absorbing healthy fats
🐾 Absorbing vitamins A, D, E & K
🐾 Eliminating certain toxins and waste
🐾 Supporting a balanced gut microbiome

And this is where TUDCA comes in!

TUDCA is a specialized bile acid studied for supporting liver cell health and healthy bile function.

Because it’s not just what goes INTO your dog’s bowl… it’s what their body can DIGEST, ABSORB & ELIMINATE!

💬 Are you supporting your dog’s bile health?

👇🏼🐕🐾 Before you BIND… OPEN the exits.

When people hear “detox,” one of the first things they often reach for is a binder.

But a binder isn’t where I start.

Before binding, I want to support the body’s ability to MOVE and ELIMINATE.

Is bile flowing?
Are the bowels moving regularly?
Is there adequate hydration?
Are the liver and kidneys supported?
Is the lymph moving?

Because the goal isn’t simply to grab onto unwanted compounds.

The goal is to get them OUT.

That’s why my approach starts with:

OPEN.

Support the body’s natural pathways.

Then:

BIND.

Help capture compounds in the digestive tract so they can leave through the stool.

And THEN we focus on rebuilding and supporting resilience.

For my OBR Wellness clients, that became:

OPEN → BIND → RESTORE

And at PetAmpLife:

OPEN → BIND → BUILD

Different applications. Same foundational principle.

And underneath ALL of it?

Real food.

Because detox was never supposed to begin with a bottle.

It begins by giving the body what it needs to do the job it already knows how to do. ❤️🐾

👇🏼🐾🐕. TUDCA.

TUDCA is a naturally occurring, water-soluble bile acid.

Unlike the more hydrophobic bile acids, TUDCA can help shift the bile-acid pool in a more hydrophilic direction and support normal liver and biliary function.

In simpler terms?

It helps support healthier bile and bile flow.

And remember why that matters:

Bile helps digest fats.
It helps us absorb vitamins A, D, E + K.
And it provides an important route for moving certain compounds from the liver → into the gut → and ultimately OUT of the body.

This is why TUDCA isn’t just something I think of as a “liver supplement.”

I think about the entire pathway.

Liver.
Bile.
Gut.
Elimination.

And it’s exactly why TUDCA became the foundation of TUDCA Shield at PetAmpLife.

Because when we talk about supporting detox, we don’t start by pushing harder.

We start by supporting the pathways the body already uses.

That’s OPEN. 💚🐾

And next we’ll talk about why I believe you should OPEN before you BIND.

👇🏼🐾🐕 The liver processes and packages certain compounds for elimination — and bile is one of the ways they get from the liver into the intestinal tract.

Think of it like this:

LIVER → BILE → GUT → POOP → OUT 💩

Simple, right?

But there’s another important piece.

Most bile acids are actually reabsorbed in the intestines and recycled back to the liver. That’s completely normal.

What we want is healthy bile production, healthy bile flow, a healthy gut and regular elimination so this system can do what it was designed to do.

This is why I talk so much about opening pathways BEFORE jumping into aggressive detox protocols or binders.

You don’t just want to stir things up.

You want a clear path OUT.

And this brings us to something I use a LOT when I want to support that liver/bile pathway…

TUDCA.

That’s next. 👀🐾

Yesterday I said detox isn’t just about what the body can process — it’s about how well it can move things OUT.

And bile is a big part of that story.

Your liver makes bile continuously. The gallbladder stores and concentrates it, then releases it when food enters the digestive system.

And one of the strongest signals for that release?

FAT.

When healthy fats enter the small intestine, they trigger signals that tell the gallbladder to contract and release bile.

That bile helps us — and our dogs — digest fats and absorb the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E + K.

But bile needs to MOVE.

When the gallbladder doesn’t empty effectively, bile can become overly concentrated. Over time, that can contribute to biliary sludge and gallstone formation.

This is one reason I’m such a believer in real food with quality fats rather than diets dominated by ultra-processed ingredients, refined carbohydrates and poor-quality fats.

Food isn’t just calories.

Food sends instructions to the body.

And healthy fats send an important one:

Release the bile.

Next up: why I care so much about bile when we’re talking about DETOX. 👀

👇🏼🐕🐾Don’t just focus on the chemical. Support the body that has to process it.

That’s where my Open • Bind • Restore (OBR) Method comes in.

🐾 OPEN – Support healthy liver function and bile flow.

🐾 BIND – Help capture compounds in the GI tract and support their natural elimination.

🐾 RESTORE – Nourish the gut, mitochondria, and overall resilience.

This is the framework I use with every client, and I utilize PetAmpLife’s Open • Bind • Build system to create personalized protocols that support each dog’s unique needs.

We can’t avoid every toxin.

But we can support the body’s natural detoxification pathways and overall health before, during, and after unavoidable exposures.

If your dog has to be exposed to flea & tick chemicals, shouldn’t we also be supporting the body that has to process them?
