There are careers that leave a mark on an industry, and then there are careers that help change its direction. Janet Champ’s induction into The One Club for Creativity’s Creative Hall of Fame celebrates one of the most influential creative voices of her generation and, in our eyes, an honor that has been a long time coming. From her early days at Wieden+Kennedy to her groundbreaking work for Nike, Janet has built a career around finding what she calls “the real, unexpected, unspoken truth.” Her work changed the way brands spoke to women and showed what advertising could be when it connected to something bigger.  Her iconic "If You Let Me Play" campaign remains a defining example of advertising’s ability to transcend the page and screen and become part of a larger cultural conversation. Congratulations, Janet. A true legend. A place in the Creative Hall of Fame feels exactly where you belong. Can you tell we’re excited to see Serena back on the court? 🎾 Revisiting this Nike favorite today and a line that still says everything: “There’s obviously days I don’t feel like training, but there is no day that goes by that I feel like losing.” Unlimited Serena Williams. 🐐 Client: NIKE Agency: WK PDX Director: Gotham Chopra Editor: Josh Hegard

Some stories never get old. As Serena and Venus Williams get ready to step back onto the court together at the US Open, we’re looking back at a campaign that captured what makes these two so unforgettable. Proud to have played a part in bringing this iconic story to life. And pretty special to see the sisters back together on the court again. “You Can’t Stop Sisters” Client: NIKE Agency: WK PDX Editor: Tommy Harden

A voice of belief can take you a long way.  Years before she became one of the greatest to ever play the game, Serena Williams had a dream — and a voice telling her to believe in it. Now, as Serena returns to the U.S. Open after nearly four years away from the sport, this Nike campaign hits a little differently. We announced the launch of Arts Academy five years ago on June 14th, 2021. On that same day in Tokyo, these stunning Deep Royal AMBUSH Dunk Highs were also released.  To show appreciation to our staff team on our five year anniversary, we gifted them these customized Dunks. We tracked down deadstock pairs for each member of our team and had them embroidered with an original oversized Arts Academy tongue label to match the oversized Swoosh as originally designed by Tokyo-based designer Yoon Ann.  Arts Academy is nothing without its people. We thank them for helping bring the dream to life, for their constant commitment to treating the work and the creative process with utmost reverence, and for making this place such a wonderful home to return to every day.  Photos by @sellonb at @halfcourtstudio
