This past week, I had the opportunity to display my artwork in the LaVerne Gallery through the University of Oregon College of Design alongside a talented group of artists. Our exhibition explored themes of identity and tradition, with each artist presenting work across a range of different mediums.

My work is deeply inspired by my Latinx heritage, my greatest muse—my family—and my home of Los Angeles. Through my art, I explore identity and belonging to better understand who I am and how I fit within an ever-changing world.

Participating in this exhibition was an incredibly meaningful and healing experience. It reminded me that the process of uncovering and understanding our identities is not something we do alone. Community plays a powerful role in that journey, and I am grateful to have found mine!

Last Thursday, our collective celebrated the exhibition with a closing reception, and it was a wonderful success. I am deeply thankful to my partner, family, friends, and professors who continue to support and inspire my artistic pursuits. And of course a huge thanks to my mother who has always pushed me to be the best version of myself, I wouldn’t be here without her ❤️

Looking forward to many more exhibitions and opportunities to share my artwork with & for my community 💐
