26 years ago, the lights went out at Piccadilly Theatre, Beirut.

Opened in 1966, Piccadilly became one of Beirut’s most iconic stages, hosting some of the greatest names in music and theatre. Fairuz, Dalida, Melhem Barakat, Boney M, Charles Aznavour, Ziad Rahbani, and many more.

For our parents’ generation, Piccadilly was part of Beirut’s golden era. For many of us today, it’s a name we’ve heard but never truly experienced.

So, 26 years later, I wanted to step inside, revisit what remains, and bring a little sound back to a place that holds so much history.
