Breaking Bread for Thanksgiving. It took 2 years to get going and make my first sourdough boules. Long story. Much harder than a bread machine! But Amazing. In the end, a.m.a.z.i.n.g. In Japan there’s a sourdough inn that will mind and feed your yeast starter (takes 5 to 7 days)! I know. Sounds like a pet hotel. However, Sourdough is a reminder that sometimes you need to go to Hell and back in order to get something delicious or meaningful. I can now add this skill to my résumé. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We are all still above ground and THAT is worth celebrating every day. @filippucciart #thanksgiving #turkeyday #sourdough #sourdoughbread #dough #family #sourdough-hotel

This piece by @petercusackstudio was an unexpected surprise. After nearly year of trying to organize a studio visit, I finally did visit and was stunned, amongst other pieces, by the salmon color paintings in his studio.

More than that, I peeped a New York accent and realized Peter was also a born and bred New Yorker. There are few of us now, so we connected on that front for sure!

Peter, thank you so much for lending your beautiful work to this showhouse effort. Your work could not have better complimented our space, and I’m excited about our budding friendship and future partnerships 🩷🩷🩷

Balloon shades are back, and I’m so happy about it! Here are some from my own home and some that I’ve seen lately out in the wild starting with a beautiful bathroom designed by @mieketenhave using @florasoames fabric that was recently featured in @archdigest and a gorgeous pink living room by @veeregrenney that he shared during @palmbeachdesigndays. #windowtreatments #balloonshades #fabric #textiles

Can’t go wrong with a stripe, especially @florasoames 💜 which we did in a blousy London shade; love a bathroom that has the softness of a room. As seen in Feb @archdigest photos @frankfrancesstudio words @michaelboodro 💜
