Há pessoas que nos inspiram pelas suas conquistas. Outras, pela forma como enfrentam a vida quando tudo muda.

Tive o privilégio de ouvir @petereed, campeão olímpico britânico de remo, cuja vida mudou radicalmente após uma lesão medular que o deixou tetraplégico.

A sua história é uma verdadeira lição de resiliência, adaptação e força interior. Uma história que nos lembra que, mesmo quando a vida nos obriga a mudar de caminho, podemos encontrar novas formas de viver, de crescer e de continuar a fazer a diferença.

E há algo que torna esta história ainda mais especial: um dos produtos da empresa de que faço parte contribui significativamente para a sua qualidade de vida. Saber que o nosso trabalho tem um impacto tão real na vida de alguém dá um significado muito maior àquilo que fazemos. ❤️

A saúde não é apenas física. É também emocional e mental.

É a capacidade de nos adaptarmos à mudança, de encontrarmos um novo propósito, de aceitarmos a nossa vulnerabilidade e de pedirmos ajuda quando precisamos.

Ser resiliente não significa sermos fortes todos os dias, nem enfrentarmos tudo sozinhos. Significa reconhecermos que, mesmo nos momentos mais difíceis, podemos encontrar apoio, reconstruir-nos e descobrir novas possibilidades.

Hoje, celebro a força do ser humano, a importância de cuidarmos da nossa saúde mental e o poder que a ciência, a inovação e a empatia têm para transformar vidas.

Porque cuidar da saúde é cuidar da pessoa como um todo.

E transformar vidas começa por nunca esquecermos que, por detrás de cada desafio, existe uma pessoa, uma história e uma vida que merece ser vivida com dignidade e qualidade. 💚

A special couple of days in Switzerland with OMEGA 🇬🇧🇨🇭⌚️

Great to spend some time with the team and getting a behind the scenes look at the factory and seeing what goes into every watch.

The visit to the OMEGA Museum has so much history, from Elvis, JFK, James Bond and of course the Olympics!

Safe to say the watch wish list hasn’t got any shorter… just longer!!

I RISE SLOW 💙… And tomorrow, we get to watch Ethan rise even more.

I don’t think I’ll ever quite get used to watching this boy take on new challenges, grab incredible opportunities and somehow make them look like they were always meant for him.

Tomorrow is a very special one.

Ethan will be on Channel 4, taking on his first ever co-hosting role, alongside the brilliant @clarebalding and @petereed as we celebrate the @superheroseries 10 year anniversary. 🥹❤️

For someone who has loved television, film and everything that happens both in front of and behind the camera for as long as I can remember, this was such an incredible opportunity. And watching him step into it with confidence, professionalism and that wonderfully Ethan way of just getting on with things made me ridiculously proud.

And, of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible Superhero Series; an event that has created a place where disability doesn’t define what’s possible, and where our Superheroes are quite rightly centre stage.

A very special thank you to @sop.hiawarner, who founded the Superhero Series and has created something truly extraordinary, and to @ibtv1986 and his brilliant team, who made him feel so completely at home in front of the cameras. We’ll be forever grateful. 💙

This little behind-the-scenes video captures just a tiny bit of what was a very special experience; the cameras, the preparation, the nerves, the excitement and Ethan right there in the middle of it all.

There have been so many moments over the years when we’ve watched Ethan do things we could once only have hoped for, and so many of these achievements have started with this incredible event.

Tomorrow is another one of them. ❤️

So, tune in to Channel 4 tomorrow morning (Aug 29th) at 9.10am and watch our boy take his place alongside Clare and Pete.

His first co-hosting opportunity.

Today we had the absolute honour of welcoming Pete Reed to Exeter Rowing Club.

If this wasn't enough, Simon Rodway and Pete Davis (two of our Masters rowers) will feature in an upcoming film about Pete. Pete won rowing gold for Team GB at three consecutive Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio 2016) and served as a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy. He retired from elite rowing in 2018 to focus fully on his naval career but sadly suffered a Spinal Stroke in September 2019 just days after completing a rigorous Royal Marines assault course.

The film highlights what can be done for athletes and others who suffer from catastrophic injuries, through rehabilitation to new advances in equipment.

Helping Conquering Horizons at the Superheroes Triathlon 2026 was an incredible experience. What a fantastic show — inspiring, emotional, and full of amazing people proving that superheroes don’t always wear capes (some of them come with wheels, prosthetics, and a seriously impressive determination!).

It was brilliant to see so many disabled superheroes taking part in the triathlon, pushing boundaries, smashing expectations, and showing the world that a disability is not a limitation — it’s just another challenge to conquer.

A huge well done to everyone who took part. I arrived to help out, but I think I left feeling like I’d gained my own superhero powers… thank you for inviting us @conqueringhorizons we are very proud to be your ambassador😎♿️. #wheelchairlife♿️ #wheelchair #superhero #marvel #dorneylake @petereed

We had an epic day yesterday at the @superheroseries triathalon powered by @marvel_uk & @disneyuk at @dorneylake . What an amazing event that @sop.hiawarner has created and we were honoured to attend the 10th anniversary.

Great to see @petereed taking Omni for a spin whilst doing some of his channel 4 presenting for the highlights show on the official @channel4 Superhero Tri Hub. Make sure to check it out when it’s available on Channel 4 On Demand

There was a lot of GOLD at this retreat. ✨

Not only in the Olympic medals but in the people who gathered around them.

In the stories shared.
In the laughter.
In the generosity.
In the openness.
In the moments that cannot be measured, photographed, or placed around a neck.

I arrived as the yoga teacher.🧘🏻‍♀️

And yet, from the very first conversation with @alexgregorygb , I had the feeling I was exactly where I was meant to be.

Although yoga and rowing may appear to belong to different worlds, I quickly discovered they were speaking about many of the same things:
Attention.
Presence.
Rhythm.
Trust.
Flow.
The willingness to return, again and again, to what matters.

A rowing stroke.
A breath.
A moment of stillness.

Different practices. The same conversation.
Different ways of returning to ourselves.

What I thought would be an opportunity to share yoga became something much richer: an experience of learning, connection, inspiration and belonging.

My deepest gratitude to Alex and @emily_tallulah for bringing this vision to life and creating a space where meaningful experiences and meaningful people could meet.

To @dawson8630 , Ali and @nickmiddletonphoto for their generosity.

And to every participant who showed up with curiosity, openness and heart.

Those days are behind us now but I came back with a heart full of joy, gratitude and recognising once more that the moments that align with the deepest of my soul, as simples as may be, are the ones worth being present for!
