Some houses spend centuries waiting for a night like this one.

The Molí was already beautiful. But that Saturday in July it dressed up: whites, gilded candelabra, tables curving between the candles as if no one had placed them there, as if they had always been that way.

Ceremony at six. A hundred and thirty five people who came to look at the couple and kept getting distracted by the house.

Then, somewhere before dessert, one of the guests picked up the microphone and sang opera. He does it at the Liceu. The room went quiet in the way rooms almost never do.

Georgina and Quim wanted people to leave saying what a beautiful wedding. They did.

But a house cannot do that alone. It waits, sometimes for a very long time, until somebody finally gives it a reason.

Everyone starts by choosing a venue. Almost nobody asks what the venue is waiting for.
