Same day, but 3 years ago.

The first HAM at @doughboydonutsdublin.

Crazy how far we’ve come over the years.

Rain or shine, you know the vibes!

$Thanks so much for all the friends and family that have been praying for my finger, including all my sweet nephews and nieces. About 1.5 months ago I had a nasty crush injury on my middle finger (dropped a heavy tree stump on it), which fractured the last segment and popped my nail off completely. It has been a nightmare every day, the pain is unlike any injuries Ive had. A little depression sets in as you want to do so much, but can’t do anything. 2 Different doctors said there is a likely need of amputation, and they encouraged me to do it 2 weeks ago. They would go in and clean up all the dead tissue, and make a decision if partial or full amputation is needed (full meaning the first segment of my middle finger). I held off. I was just mentally not ready to accept that this was all due to a crush injury. I needed time to process and pray, yet if I held off too long, the chances of an infection to the bone could cause even further amputation. The news spread quickly, and friends and family all prayed for me, as I was praying for myself. Long story short, my last visit was the day I was mentally prepared to let the Doctors do what they needed, I prayed enough and felt time is running out. My appointment was on Monday, and Saturday night my dead skin started naturally peeling on its own, I came in Monday ready to go, but they took off the rest of the dead skin and I still had healthy tissue under. The Doctor turned me away, and no procedure is needed. I still have a little pus after almost a full month of antibiotics that I have to watch closely. Overall though, prayers were heard, and chances of amputation now are very very low. So thank you to all those that prayed for me, I needed it badly. THANK YOU.$
