I owe my success to two things 1. To using my work as a coping mechanism for my heartbreak, 2. To my faith in God.
When I had all my crazy problems in life, I remember I’d put my kids to sleep and paint on my dining table until 3am. It was double productive - my meditative technique not only soothed and helped heal my soul, but making progress on my paintings made progress on my bank account - 2 things I needed to fix. One year ago today (thanks Apple memories 🙄) I found myself in the exact opposite situation in my personal life, and I currently feel like I am dying inside. That place when the pain radiates from your gut to your heart. No kids for 5 days, all alone in my house, and a lot on my plate and my mind. I am once again grateful that Gd has not only given me the strength to recognize that no matter how I feel right now, I know everything happens for a reason, Gd has a path for me, and time heals and reveals all; but that Gd gave me a career that I LOVE and the motivation to GET IT. That in my worst moments of despair, I get to pick up a paintbrush, mix color, and stroke my brush on my board - and the fact that this thing I love so much provides me and my family sustenance is a real blessing. That I get to create beauty and meaning for people I love as I heal @hustlelikeamom that is a GIFT. I have 6 paintings to finish before I move and every day that I paint extra hours is a day that relieves the pressure of my workload and my upcoming move. Painted the Rebbe for 10 hours straight the other day. Grateful for good friends who forced me to paint outdoors in the sunshine yesterday instead of alone in my studio. Ended up jamming, painting, and reflecting in the sun for 7.5 hours straight and finished off with another Swarovski + Clase Azul crystallizing night.
