Peter M. Smith in Who Is Erin Carter?

Peter M. Smith, an Irish actor and former pop musician, made a striking impression in the Netflix thriller series Who Is Erin Carter? (2023), playing the role of Daryl—a menacing henchman tied to the show’s criminal underworld. His intense performance brought an added edge to the fast-paced storyline, which follows a British expat teacher whose hidden past resurfaces violently in Barcelona.

Before his acting break, Smith rose to fame as a contestant on ITV’s Popstars: The Rivals and later joined the UK boy band Phixx, achieving several chart hits. Years later, and working in the tech sector, Smith returned to performing through local theatre, eventually catching the eye of a talent scout.

To prepare for his gritty role in Who Is Erin Carter?, he trained in combat techniques and transformed physically to fit the part. With this breakout role, Smith has reintroduced himself as a serious talent in screen acting.

It's one of my favourite places to go, the music is great, the food is amazing ( try the chicken cesar salad it's the best in Dublin) and I have to say the owners are great craic also! Well worth a trip...

$Had a brilliant visit to BCFE Ballyfermot last wednesday to see the legendary Francie Conway and explore the fantastic facilities in the Arts Department. From an impressive stage setup to cutting-edge digital music and performance courses, it’s a space full of creative energy and opportunity. We had the pleasure of meeting Eamonn, a talented performance and vocal coach – and a proud past pupil of the college. His words of encouragement for students hoping to build a future in the music industry were truly inspiring. BCFE is clearly a place where passion and professionalism meet – a fabulous space to grow, learn, and create.
