Isabel—another find from my latest „people-spotting“ tour in Florence. I intentionally kept the look very pure; I simply love that natural beauty—even in the post-processing—rather than the kind of heavy retouching you often see with models. Before the weekend, I’ll also be sharing a series from the anniversary celebration of the *Cappotto* for my *Contrada della Lupa*.————————————————

Twilight of the Gods about Costalpino Many people know me for a long time, know that I used to be in a dark style for a long time, also in image processing. Yesterday it was time again, with the knowledge and skills 15 years later I reached into the dark box again and had fun. 🖤🤌🤘————————————————

China Girl
Yesterday, I drove a friend to the hospital in Florence for a check-up. I used the waiting time to take the tram into the city center, where I treated myself to an Aperol Spritz at a bar sitting right out front in the prime spot. I didn’t have to wait long before a Chinese woman sat down at the table next to me without ordering anything. Then her husband arrived and struck a pose. ————————————————

Buona domenica a tutti. ———————

Gigi and Vikingo.
Another fantastic day. Gigi and I have known each other through social media for a little over a year now. I think it’s safe to say we both appreciate each other and one another’s art. We had always wanted to meet up at the Campo for an Aperole spritz. Today, that finally happened, and my expectations weren’t just met they were surpassed. What a great artist he is, especially when I look at his decades-long artistic journey here in Siena; what a wild soul (something I know all too well myself), possessing that kind of wry, humorous spirit I love. Although conversation was a bit of a challenge due to my limited Italian, there are more important things when two kindred spirits meet. Many thanks also to the Mohsen Gallery for hosting this meeting. I will always cherish the memory of the moment Gigi saw me outside the gallery, he was genuinely delighted and embraced me warmly. A big thank you also to my partner, @marziacaselli who took the photos of Gigi and me, as well as the group shot with Mr. Mohsen. I had to smile while editing the portrait of Gigi and me; I was goofing around, holding up my hand in the „rock and roll“ 🤘sign and saying „Rock and Roll never dies,“ which took Gigi completely by surprise.🤭🥰 On occasions like that, Marzia always says, „Where did they let him out from?“ I am who I am. Finally, I’d like to recommend Gigi’s exhibition at the Mohsen Gallery. It’s a series based on a river or stream; Gigi says he experienced a specific feeling or emotion with each picture, and he conveys that through his work. It’s very interesting—do stop by if you’re from Siena or just visiting on holiday. Mohsen Gallery, Via Pantaneto 128, 53100 Siena. 🥰👌🙏🌀———————

Credit where credit is due. Now we come to the photo series—without which the incredible event of ten years ago would never have happened. Cappotto Photocopia created the images for this event, which RAI had deemed impossible at the time. I offer my deepest respect to everyone featured here. Since I couldn't find everyone on social media, here is the list: former Capitano Gabriele Gragnoli, Capitano Giulio Bruni, Priore Giacomo Sensi, and the artists of the Drappellone from that time, Tommaso Andreini and Jean-Claude Coenegracht. Once again, for anyone who would like to have these in their photo album: prints are available at Photosmak, Via Massetana Romana 54. More of the pictures I have from there will follow in the coming days.———————

Tributo alla cavalla Preziosa Penelope Il Gruppo Piccoli.
History is lived and passed on to our children. This is our legacy, precious, valuable, and inviolable. Segnalo inoltre che tutte queste immagini possono essere stampate presso Photosmack, in Via Massetana a Siena.———————

Emotions, love for the Contrada, and the joy of life.
After just seven hours of computer time spent sorting and editing images, both for my Contrada’s history and for the Lupaioli who asked for prints, you can get your photos printed starting tomorrow at Photosmack (Str. Massetana Romana 54, 53100 Siena). With this selection, my goal was to capture the beautiful emotions of everyone present: from the little children to our “Young Wolves” (stay just as you are, your energy is amazing, I love it), the Lupaioli, and the “Lead Wolves” who are always so kind and helpful to me, big thanks for your Respect to me 🙏, thank you for that. I want to emphasize again how wonderful it is that a family like this, through Tiziana, Marissa, and Dana, has found its way to me. Tomorrow, we’ll continue with the history, the beautiful *Preziosa Penelope, and the honoring of the *Bambini. And yes, there will also be some great shots of the esteemed former Capitano Gabriele Gragnoli, who made that Cappotto victory possible back then alongside the jockey Scompiglio (Jonatan Bartoletti).
One step at a time, please be patient.———————

Emozioni Another photo from the evening of the „ del Trionfo della Nobile Contrada del Nicchio“ . I hope some of that erupting joy comes across. But honestly, you can only truly grasp it by being there in person. ————————

Giro Contrada della Lupa So much is happening right now, in my side job, in my personal life, and with my Contrada della Lupa. But as you know, I love problems and challenges, and I love having gifts ready for everyone whose path crosses mine, because everything comes back around. And that is exactly what is happening every day. I am very happy right now in this life, which isn’t quite so new anymore, here in my new home. That is why it took me a little while to sort through and edit the photos for my Contrada, but I have now finished a small series that I would like to share with you. I hope the emotions come through. ———————
