Bandanas are everywhere right now

But the bandana is so much more than a current trend. The bandana, especially the one associated with the iconic paisley pattern, has a long history — records of the paisley motif can be traced back to Persia more than 2,000 years ago. Through textile production in India, and then through trade to Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries, where the Scottish town of Paisley became an important center of production and gave the pattern its familiar name. From there, through American settlement, farmers and cowboys, and eventually the Western films of 20th-century America.

But for me, the bandana has always been and will always be a beloved piece that takes me straight back to my childhood in the ’80s.

Maybe that’s why, even now, when it’s everywhere again, it feels less like a trend and more like coming back to myself.

🔔SOUND ON🔔 Nothing says ✨me time✨quite like doing your makeup in the car while your children guzzle snacks. But honestly, at this point I’ll take the 3 uninterrupted minutes wherever I can get them. Toddler mum life means the car is my mobile bathroom now. Also can we please take a moment to appreciate that @holmebeauty have FINALLY released a brow range & as per usual they have nailed the product, congratulations @hilaryholmesmakeup 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Also please consider this your sign to try their brown mascara, it’s SO GOOD 🤎🤎🤎🤎
