POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

2016 was a HUGE year! I’ve had way too much fun going back through the archives and remembering it all.

It was the year I launched @seriously_milestones (I sold it in 2021) and I jumped full throttle into business mode.

- Influencer marketing
- Stockists (Aust wide and International)
- Features in mags & newspapers
- Markets in Bendigo & Melb
- Collaborating

And basically, a whole lot of learning!

I was very lucky to be surrounded by a community of small business owners who were supportive and shared all of their learnings with me, it also helped that I took to social media like a duck to water.

Personally, I had a 4 and 1 year old and was also going through the process of donating my eggs to my SIL - I still remember driving to Melbourne for a market and pulling over on the side of the road to inject myself with hormones.

I have absolutely NO how I did it all - but there is something about this small business world that gives me an extra energy boost - I still get it today.

I’ve learnt so many lessons over the past 10 years and I love that I get to share those with the brands I work with now. Truly where I am supposed to be.

It’s a strange thing, to live so quietly in another world for so long, and then almost not think about that world at all while you move onto another place and time…only to go back, much later, and invite everyone you love in at long last (& hope they get it!) 🤯
I’m notoriously bad at celebrating wins, so even though parties stress me out, nights like last night remind of how loved and supported I am and why my wins are everyone else’s too 🥹
Thanks so much @cec_loves_words for being the most perfect interviewer (& the one who shares those worlds with me both earlier and later) and thanks @bookishbendigo for always making me feel like the best author in the land 🥰
And big love to all my family and friends for showing up (again!) and sharing cake with me 😉 I’m a lucky gal! What Have They Done To Liza McLean is officially out on Tuesday, but I’ve got a bit on this week so we started early! 📖🌿
There are so many people I didn’t get pics with (& some of you I did but you didn’t send them to me 😆) and @friendly.savage one day we might actually take a photo of the two of us together 🫠

We introduced Clover to ‘Dog Rocks’ this afternoon (near Harcourt). It’s kind of a rite of passage for our doggos, with Riley having visited several times and Winnie more recently of course. They loved it today, both so adventurous and Winnie even bounced up onto that log like it was nothing (whilst at other times we carried him around in a bag!) 💼🤭❤️

The laughs and love from last night…a wonderful book launch for @amywritingbooks second #LoveOZYA novel Eleanor Jones Can’t Keep a Secret. Amy is a dear friend, one of the amazing women in my bookclub, and also an awesome author whom I admire a great deal (and someone who lets me talk shop with her whenever I want and gives me sneak peeks at all her writing)!

Thanks to @bookishbendigo for hosting the event at The Engine Room. That’s @wendybridges interviewing Amy in the end pic!
