Two years ago, I was backpacking all over Asia and found my way to this little island called Koh Tao. I was only there for a few days then, but the island with its gorgeous sandy beaches and snorkeling spots was memorable.

I started studying at the Haaga-Helia Institute in Helsinki in the autumn, and soon it was time to look for the first place to do my internship. I immediately decided that I would not do it in Finland, so I remembered this little island a couple of years ago. Google simply Koh Tao jobs and immediately came across Koh Tao Divers. On the same my intern positions was confirmed I booked a flight to the kingdom.

I didn't know anything about diving when I got to the island, but after completing the Open Water Diver course at KTD, I realised I had found my own thing. I’ve also attended an Advanced Adventurer course and some fun diving in addition to work and I’m definitely going to continue my diving hobby. My work at KTD itself does not include diving, but I’m assisting office with daily operation duties. My work also includes customers service, accounting, answering customer emails, and replying to customer reviews, basically anything at the office where an extra hand is needed.

My work has been interesting and I have really learned a lot about what diving is and how much is going on around it.

These 2 and a half months have been unforgettable. It has been a pleasure to be a part of the KTD crowd and even though my heart was left halfway to the sea, it is easier to think that you can always come back here.

If you are even considering an internship abroad and you want something different and new from your internship, I definitely recommend that you apply at info@kohtaodivers.com

Thank you very much @petralanko for your efforts at KTD. It was lovely to have you as a part of our team for few months. Hope to see you back here soon!
