What a day! 🎶💃🕺

We had the best time seeing Pevan & Sarah at Plenty Ranges Theatre! The students were dancing, singing and having the absolute best time. Even Mrs Wise took to the stage! 😂🙌❤️

So many smiles, so much energy and memories made! ✨

Fine Motor Friday activities for this week included dot marker painting of pictures and cutting activity from @pevanandsarah, finger bowling, The Little Red Hen craftivity activity from @topteacher, bead bracelets, and superhero disc construction. It was a lovely way to end an otherwise difficult week.

Friday was SUPER special to me 🩷 I celebrated turning 30 surrounded by so much love from all the staff and students at my school ✨🎂

I started my day with a surprise dance party where everyone was wearing matching party hats and pink love heart glasses 🩷 All the staff wore pink too 💗

I was then surprised with a very special birthday message from @pevanandsarah which was so exciting and iconic!! I gasped and couldn’t believe it 🐯👱🏻‍♀️🩷🤣 A BIG thankyou to @cassandradarwall for organising 🥰

I then spent the day spoiled by my class and having heaps of fun before a weekend of celebrating 🩷

I feel so grateful and lucky to do what I do and I feel so so special and loved 🩷

As always, stay groovy 💗✨✌🏻🌸

Spellodies on My Singalong Magical Day

One of my favourite life rules is:

You Go, You Get

Deb & I went to Auckland recently (with Benny & Angie from MMMA) for the NZ children's music awards and we met Steph & Fen from the family band Spellodies.

Spellodies cleaned up at the awards winning both Artist of the Year and Video of the Year!!

Their album "If You Can Yell It, Then You Can Spell It!" is a beauty.

We are thrilled to have our first Spellodies track on our upcoming My Singalong Magical Day episode launching on New Year's Day.

If you go, you get and if you can yell it, you can spell it!

With the @majorminormusicaustralia Australian Children’s Music Awards coming up at the end of this month, I thought it would be fun to talk to some of the artists who are nominated for awards this year. And, Miss 9, asked if she could please be on the team as Junior Journalist for this plum assignment.

🐯 First up, we had a great conversation with Sarah from @pevanandsarah . I may have made Sarah blush a little by calling her a “superstar,” but I wasn’t totally kidding. 🤩 Their songs are used in classrooms across Australia and, having seen them live, let me tell you, the energy these guys bring is something else. I’m talking a few hundred 5 year olds dancing, singing along, and knowing every move! All of this in the name of rock star things like learning how to use a glue stick, pencil grip, packing up and learning to make mistakes.

Pevan and Sarah are nominated for two ACMAs this year in the Best Album and Best Video category. Here’s our chat about that, their clever Cub Club, being on the ABC, their funniest prop, and lots more. Thanks for the chat, Sarah! 💕

Over ALL the planets in the galaxy’s moons to be nominated for Album of the Year for ALIEN INTELLIGENCE 👽 and Song of the Year for INNER SPACE🌌 in this year’s Australian Children’s Music Awards! 💚👽🌕☄️🎶✨🤗🛸💚

These songs have been a joy to channel through from my alien alter ego @poppy_galactic and I’m SO honoured to have them recognised in the nominations. 🥹🙏🏼🛸

Also honoured to be in such good company too 🤗 What fun it was to make these songs and what a joy it will be to be all together at the awards next month celebrating each other and our industry! 🤩🤩🤩

Thank you @majorminormusicaustralia for recognising and supporting all the incredible children’s music artists we have in our country. 🙌🏽✨🙌🏽
