It was bound to happen…difficult decision

It’s far by the hardest decision I had to make; I haven’t been posting recently and the reason why is that Hui Xin and I, after long deliberation, decided that it was best for us to no longer continue this. It’s been a sweet two years, full of its ups and downs, and tad bits of surprises but no one would have expected this surprise. It’s been a tough patch these recent months, discussing and not being eye to eye on things. With all of these we concluded that the best way forward is to no longer continue BUT move forward in a lifetime partnership and we got engaged. Yes, future wedding prep and all we didn’t see eye to eye but hey, it’s only natural to have. Haha, but we’re excited to see what is in store for us, and it only made sense and felt right for both of us to not continue as just bf and gf but as a partner for life.

The proposal DIDN’T go as planned, I have a rant session on this, it was chaotic as there were too many unforeseen variables but in the end it was a success. Part two of the proposal was definitely a success as HX was blown away by her close friends.

I’ll post a content on the whole proposal saga but for now, I want to enjoy sharing this moment with all of you.

I want to give special thanks to Daren and Nat, who helped with crafting a surprise; its hard because HX is too observant and will detect any BS haha.

I want to thank Wendy, HX’s best friend who scolded me for having a simple surprise and stepped in to decorate with her sister HQ. I also want to thank friends who came to join and celebrate together. I want to specially thank all my supporters my Korean Oppa from SG fam :)

I’m glad I’m only doing this once, it was freaking stressful; although the initial planning failed, it’ll be etched in our memories.

#2 - 🎸 @evantellstories is the opener for Papaya Duck's concert, performing two songs (including an original which I really liked because of its emo rock vibe. Hope to hear it soon!)
#4 - 🎻 @audnabanana plays the violin.
#5 - 🎸🎹 Not only does lead singer @greyyingg play the guitar, she also plays the keyboard.
#6 - 🎮 There is also a game segment in the concert where a lucky winner gets to win a plushie. I only got 2/10 questions correct ☹️
#7 - All in all, it is quite a refreshing experience to hold a concert at @thesingingloft . 👍

It has been a rough 2 months since my injury, mentally and physically 😪 many times, when I see people squatting down, jumping, running doing the things I can't do kinda makes me feel like shit 💩

I intend to go to the gym soon (BEEN SO BZ THESE DAYS ARGH) to train and gain back my quads muscles. Hopefully, it really helps me to get back to recovery faster (if i don't mess it up at the gym) Wish me luck guys 🥲
