6 months ago, stepping into the role of Medda Larkin changed my life in ways i never saw coming. at the time, i didn’t even realize how lost i felt, but Medda helped me find myself again. she reminded me what it feels like to be strong, to own who you are, & to beam with confidence.

we are both so alike it’s not even funny. medda is bold, passionate, & full of heart. she lifts others up while still fighting for her own space in the world. i saw myself in her more & more every day, & that connection gave me the strength to shine my light as bright as possible.

this role challenged me in so many unexpected ways. it pushed me to grow not just as a performer, but as a person. there were so many moments i doubted myself/my abilities, felt scared, or unsure, but Medda always reminded me to keep going. through her, i found a voice i had forgotten i had (both ON & OFF the stage.)

theatre has always meant a lot to me, but this experience was something much deeper. i started believing in myself again, i started showing up for myself again, & i’m so proud of how far i’ve come. i learned to ignore those voices telling you that you cannot succeed or make a dream a reality.

thank you to everyone who believed in me when i couldn’t see it in myself. & thank you, Medda, for helping me remember who i am.
