Congratulations to these 12 smarties for earning a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Spring 2026 semester!! The Bulldogs men’s and women’s teams also combined for an overall 3.50 team GPA. Way to go, Dogs!!

Marianne Dean is from Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She is a junior majoring in Exercise Science, and her favorite event is the 200 freestyle!

Maddie Lynch is from Mountain Home, Arkansas. She will be a graduate student pursuing her master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, and her favorite event is the 100 backstroke!

Peyton Wells is from Eureka, Missouri. She will be a senior majoring in Nursing, and her favorite event is the 200 backstroke!

13 things i’ve learned in my 13 years of swimming:

1. you get what you work for. never expect more or less.
2. you determine your own value.
3. time management.
4. your teammates and supporters make your time worth it.
5. if they don’t pay your rent, don’t pay them any mind.
6. don’t be defined by your performance, be defined by what you learned from it.
7. i’m never escaping @kinley_gibbs06 . even if i wanted to.
8. swim team moms are just bonus moms (too many to tag—i love yall).
9. sometimes it’s going to feel like your life is a movie with the craziest plot. make sure it’s oscar worthy.
10. small victories are fun to celebrate. big victories are more fun to celebrate.
11. don’t take yourself too seriously or else you’re going to be so bored.
12. be your own biggest fan, advocate, and competition (word to @sa.voyah_g ).
13. when a chapter ends, you get the privilege of writing the next chapter and what comes with that.

thanks to God, my family, my teammates and friends, and each stepping stone.
